biographical info
Bluesplattered folk run through the wringer of a one-man band travelling the land; ory no'man blends vibrant harmonica journey's with soulful bluesy vocals and hypnotic rhythm guitar to create a unique new spin on what may be called folk music. Influenced by such artists as Bob Dylan, Ben Harper, and Jeff Buckley, ory's music flows like the waves of emotion. A writer of songs that he sings, ory prefers to sing his songs, rather than talk about them. During the winter season ory has called Victoria, B.C. his home, captivating audiences both solo and with the acoustic band One Less Felon. During his summer months in Alberta's Bow Valley ory played constantly while co-hosting a highly successful open mic night. Having recently completed his first cross-Canada tour, ory has been armed with wisdom, knowledge and experience. On his many travels he has also shared the stage with such revered Canadian roots musicians as: Rae Spoon, The Fugitives, C.R. Avery, Sarah Noni Metzner, and Neil Conway. Now his debut album is in the works, and ory is setting his sights on the open road in order to spread the word around.
