What happens when a quiet librarian writes and records a concept album? Why, you get an album that's all about sex. And not just any kind of sex. 'Rough Stuff' is brutal, crass and at times hilarious meditation on all things sexual.
There's the mildly self-deprecating pulse of "Beat The Shit Out Of Me", the subtle pleas of "Why Won't You Let Me Fuck You", and the tongue-in-cheek call to arms of "Ass Commando". Other highlights include the satisfying rub 'n' tug trilogy of "Full Release", "GFE", and "She Jerks", and the thoughtful introspection of "Penetrating Insights".
Of course, what is a concept album would be complete without a pretty ballad? "Uschi" is a touching ode to Russ Meyers muse Uschi Digart. To lend the song the much needed air of reverence that such a super-vixen demands, Paul Aucoin (The Sadies) is featured on vibes.
