biographical info
Daniel Morin (guitar) and Martin Valence (drums) had been playing together for two years when they met Rick Bujold (guitar) in August 2002. [nara], the band’s name is based on Antoine Volodine’s novel Les Anges Mineurs. Fall 2003 sees a change at the bass as Karim Blondy, joins [nara]. In addition to new colour to their music, with the arrival of Karim the project takes a serious turn and a first EP appears in December 2003.
The now complete line-up offers instrumental post-rock music: sonic textures that are sometimes calm, other times turbulent, with ambient sounds here and there; reminiscent of a film soundtrack, the visual is created in our heads. The band is currently working on the music for short films.
In February 2005, the first album, Prélude au hasard, will finally be available. [nara] recorded, produced and mixed the album which is released on their own label, Cellar Records. Live performances have built [nara] a solid reputation, so the group’s energy was recreated with great care in Prélude au hasard.
New band member since march, directly from Roumania a great bassist,Ciprian Vadeanu.
