In the year of 2000, I.P decided to take Nigel under his wing and they formed NWNB ( Nuwanuba ) they recorded their first album “Nowherenearbabylon” and started performing songs off it locally in Calgary shortly after. The song “New Fools” became an underground classic getting airplay on CBC Canada, Vibe98.5 and college radio across CANADA. In 2002 NWNB released their “Limited Edition” CD and decided to take it on tour with them covering all of western Canada. In late 2002 NWNB started recording their latest album “Cupocreeps”, this album was recorded In Calgary & Vancouver and features production and guest appearances from Moka Only & Nohow.
NWNB “Cupocreeps” has given the duo quite a buzz, selling over a thousand units independently with no promotion, video etc. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears focused as NWNB rise up and continue to deliver that funk, jazz, reggae, rock and soul inspired Hip-Hop music. Collectively NWNB have shared the stage with: Oddities, Sweatshop Union, Fourth World Occupants, Souls of Mischief, Guru of Gangstarr, Moka Only, Living Legends, etc.
