biographical info
"Neil Leyton is mostly interested in the extremes, either hot or cold, black or white, right or wrong, good or evil. The songs are either mellow & melodic or aggressively chaotic - especially true when he plays live. His rotating cast of live players, the "fading ways" family, always provide excellent musical ability to facilitate Neil's task of communicating with the crowd. This is not always achieved though, and some of the shows disintegrate the way live rock n'roll should. Others are rare gems of classic emotion and melody, with the lyrical substance to boot. As evidenced in 1999's "Secret Avenue" album and this year's "my new soul" EP, Leyton is a world-class writer, singer and producer whose fame and fortune is simply waiting to happen. Catch him while he's still "underground"..." - Pete Marquis, Guru Records EEC
