Nathan's Flat has been hailed by fans and the media as one of the most exciting new rock bands to emerge from Halifax's hot music scene since Sloan and Thrush Hermit. Their debut CD ninety-nine (released in February 1999) received unanimous critical acclaim, including a profile on MuchMusic. Since moving their homebase from Halifax to Toronto in the fall of 1999, they've continued to garner rave REVIEWS for ninety-nine while playing shows around Ontario and Quebec.
The band kicked off the new millenium with an East Coast Music Award nomination for Alternative Artist/Group of the Year and a tour of Eastern Canada. This past summer, they put on an electrifying NxNE showcase while also being picked for radio station Edge102's New Rock Search 2000. Nathan's Flat is now working on the follow-up to ninety-nine, scheduled to hit the street later this year.
