Formed in 2005 and playing their first show on May 22nd at Blim, Mutators was a Post Punk trio consisting of songwriter Liane Morrissette on vocals and oscillator, Brody Mckinght on guitar and Justin Gradin on drums.
Liane Morrissette left the band in October of 2006 and was replaced by Lief Hall (Myths) who was featured on subsequent recordings and at live performances. Mutators split up in early 2009.
'Kill Me' was produced by Carter Hayes for Codify Recordings and recorded on January23rd and 24th, 2006 at Mushroom Studios (now HippoWest Studios) with a third and final session for mixing on April 1st, 2006. 'Kill Me' was mastered by Jamie Sitar at Suite Sound Labs.
Carter Hayes calls 'Kill Me' an unknown garage rock classic, and compares it to 'GI', the only studio album by the American punk band The Germs.
