biographical info
The three lovely ladies along with the tall and handsome gentleman of Mother Father have emerged from the basements of Vancouver and into the local music scene of alternative rock/punk in the past five years. They write original material and are influenced by The Ramones, The Clash, Tegan and Sara, and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but they are devoted to creating their own unique sound.
The vivacious vocals and punchy guitar of Maddi Bell flow in harmony with the rhythm section, consisting of Sage Lachman )shaking up the drums, Ori Nevares slappin’ da bass, and Catherine Rivers unlocking doors with the keys.
Mother Father believes that catchy music does not have to be unoriginal, so their standout track, “YVR” (all about a teen's perspective of Vancouver) is just one out of a bevy of ultra catchy gems. Mother Father is thrilled to announce the release of the song, “YVR” as their debut track on Myspace, and they will be playing gigs frequently around Vancouver. They are known for performing at school benefit concerts, talent shows, parties, and at a very notable celebration at Stanley Park, for over 5,000 people.
The musicians of Mother Father have been professionally playing their respective instruments for 10 years, and as they continue to improve, they each contribute their distinctive styles into one solid sound.
