Micro Prophet is the masked electronic music duo comprised of Boy Void and Beat to Deaf! Fueled by their love for dancehall infused electronic music these two honed their skills as solo acts before their paths crossed and they began to produce together. Within their first year producing together they have released four EPs through a number of different rec- ord labels. These EPs not only featured their own original work but contained remixes from a number of Canada’s hottest young producers (Barletta, BOTNEK, Dooze Jackers, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Bass Machines, Tape Deck Bros, Andru Pozzatron, DAKOTA).
Their music has garnered attention from the legendary Kissy Sell Out on BBC radio 1 where BOTNEK’s remix of their track Watch Em Come is a regular feature. Their title track off their recently released Pump Party DJ EP has gathered support from many DJs most no- tably Mad Decent’s resident tastemaker Jillionaire.
This year sees Micro Prophet team up with a number of international artists that they are collaborating with to produce a number of singles and EPs. Look for the upcoming sin- gle Birds featuring vocals from Canada’s Philly Moves and Jillionaire.
