biographical info
In 2005 Mickael Maddison went from entrepreneur to rocker. While recording his first demo that would later become his debut EP “Free”, Mickael heard that 97.5FM “The River” was doing a segment on local music. Mickael sent along a couple of the nearly completed tracks to music director Tim Tyler and before he knew it, Mickael was receiving regular airplay for “Drink” and “When I'm Free”. Building on this first success, his first CD was sent off to a few dozen stations gaining him airplay on a variety of stations in Canada and as far away as Ireland.
Even with the release of the CD and ongoing airplay on a number of stations, Mickael had not considered performing live until a year later when he was invited to perform for a popular Kamloops festival. A live band was formed with bass player Jonathan Anthony and drummer Dan Hum. This trio went on to perform for many venues and events, building up a reputation for great rock and a solid performance.
In 2008 Mickael took greater control of the recording process by setting up his home studio to record the 10 tracks for “In Loving Misery”. From his second CD, his first full-length album, Mickael has had 2 tracks hitting the airwaves all over Canada, into the USA and the UK. As of January, Mickael is releasing the first single “Insufferable” from his coming third album, expected sometime in 2011.
Mickael is also a contestant on the Social Reality show “Race to a Million” airing on Shaw.
