biographical info
Michelle Will is a singer/songwriter from Vancouver, British
Columbia. Classically trained and raised with strong country and gospel
influences, Michelle’s songs weave catchy melodies with classic rock
chord structures to create a sound reminiscent of acts like Daniel
Powter, Five For Fighting, Elton John, and Jann Arden. Michelle draws
on her own experiences to create lyrics that are both touching and
intimate, played with powerful acoustic piano and guitar accompaniments.
In addition to her current solo project, Michelle has spent the last
few years performing live with local musicians as a keyboard player and
vocalist. Her music has been licensed for use in custom wedding
photography DVDs and in health spa facilities. Michelle holds a Masters
degree in Music Education and currently teaches songwriting at
Garibaldi Secondary. She is also the mother of two beautiful kids
Andrew and Nicole and is married to Joel DeYoung.
Michelle released a 4 song EP in January of 2008 and is currently
working on a full-length album, as well as expanding her composition
experience to other media such as film and television.
