biographical info
How it starts:
June 2007, boring, jobless summer; Matty records a few songs onto a mini 4 track recorder at his house with a drum machine and plays Ben the songs on a boombox beside a swimming pool.
Later, Ben writes lyrics and sings over top of the songs in his basement. Mark adds his bass from his house before he and Ben even know eachother. They meet in person for the first time, weeks later, outside one of Toronto's shittiest bars. Ben wears a hat. There are six songs. Randomly, local up and coming recording engineer, Ryan Mills, is bored and offers to record said songs 'properly' at a rehearsal space on 8 track cassette on a pwyc basis. He does it in exchange for smoke clouds. In the end - a DEMO cassette...and so on.
