Marv Machura, described by Penguin Eggs Magazine as a "winning singer and talented guitar player," plays Western Canadian roots music.
Machura leads The Marv Machura Band in high-energy, guitar-driven live performances.
Machura follows traditions of contemporary roots artists like Fred Eaglesmith, Steve Earle, Gordon Lightfoot, Ian Tyson, and John Denver.
Radio stations across Alberta and Canada have supported his three independently released discs (2003, 2004, 2009); Internet radio and European, USA, New Zealand/Australian radio have played Machura’s songs. Although he has published over 20 songs in Nashville, Machura is a narrative singer-songwriter and guitar-player whose music continues to define the Western Canadian experience.
A veteran of the roots music scene, Machura has been performing for over thirty years; with the release of his latest disc, he shows no sign of slowing down!
