Makeshift Innocence is comprised of Jesse-James Cameron, Benjamin Bald, Mackenzie Crowe and Roy Gutierrez. It started in the late summer of 2007 when Jesse-James and Benjamin started jamming together. Because of the explosive chemistry between the two, most of their first album "Between Heaven & Hell" was written within the first few months of playing together. Feeding off one another, they have managed to convey passion, love, and inspiration through their music.
Wanting to add a greater depth to the sound of their music, they added djembe player Roy Gutierrez, bassist Mackenzie Crowe and the seamless rhymes of Ill Knowtice. Together, these four gentlemen created their latest single "Your Body" featuring Ill Knowtice and are well on their way to creating a new sound and a new beginning. The goal of Makeshift Innocence will always be to touch people's hearts. To inspire their listeners to be inspired, to live, believe, love, respect and give them hope. The music is rhetorical; it is not looking for an answer or to be answered. It is made to see how the listener reacts, as they will interpret it however they need to, or want to, on an individual level.
