biographical info
MAD ONES are a new rock duo comprised of Toronto indie-rockers Andrew DeVillers and Phil Wilson. The band combines the low-end fullness of a larger band with a unique take on guitar and drum overdrive. MAD ONES draw comparisons to Dinosaur Jr., Nirvana, DFA 1979 and The Replacements, but carve out a blend of premium hook-laden rock all their own. Early in their existence MAD ONES have played NXNE, CMW, worked with acclaimed Can-rock legend Ian Blurton and have been included on a P572 (QC label) vinyl compilation.
Their debut full-length “Behaviour” was self-produced, and tracked largely over a January weekend in a Chatham, Ontario industrial space by engineer Mike Sennema. The album captures the raw essence of the band. Juno Award-winning Producer/Engineer Adam King did the mixing and additional recording in Toronto.
