moral hazard RIP 1999-2005

moral hazard was formed in Ottawa in 1999 by ex-members of the Goddamn, Vicious Dick, the Snatchbandits and Resin Scraper. Over time, additional members joined, including ex-members of legendary Ottawa punk band Black Triangle and the Inflatable Jesus Love Dolls. Over the next five years moral hazard played about 50 shows in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and Petawawa Ontario, sharing the stage with well known bands such as the Dayglo Abortions, the Discords, the Liquor Pigs, the Ripcordz, Bunchofuckingoofs, the Riptides, and others.

moral hazard released two CDs on their own Pesticide Records label: "...all witnesses eventually die..." in 2001 and "...another chance to practice wasting your time..." in 2002.  moral hazard was also included on several compilation cds including "Kick 'em when they're down" volumes 1 and 2, Alpha Motherfuckers (a tribute to Turbonegro), Crusty Comp volume 2, Ottawa Underground, and Cornwall Underground volume 3.

In February 2005 we decided to kick it in the head and performed two final shows in a drunken haze at Maverick's Bar in Ottawa. Former members of moral hazard currently play in four-stroke, Blackball, and the Weapons of Mass Seduction.
