Melissa Rebronja is a prolific singer/songwriter with an independent debut CD, entitled: “Embrace Yourself”. Her music combines acoustic pop/rock with a/c and ethnic flavours. Two of her songs are currently getting airplay on Canadian radio; “Beautiful” and her own version of “Wonderwall”.
The Belgrade born-Toronto native has spent 5 years in Vancouver, BC in order to focus on her art. Melissa Rebronja taught herself piano and guitar, inspiring her to write. Since then this Canadian songstress has been writing prolifically and developed a large body of work, culminating into the creation of her debut album Embrace Yourself.
Melissa's music has been described as sincere, moving, and heartfelt, expressing her life experiences through song. A unique blend of former Yugoslavian and Canadian culture, her music is altogether organic, sometimes ethnic and inspirited with pop. A genre she calls “Soulful Acoustic Pop - with Balkan influences”. Melissa music propels you to listen, invites you to sing along, and incites a bodily groove.
