As a singer-songwriter, Mark Weinstock has a unique gift for creating an intimate connection with his audience, giving his listeners the feeling that each song was written just for them. His warm voice, meaningful lyrics, & contagious passion have attracted loyal listeners from across the continent & overseas.
Mark began writing poems for his teacher in grade 5 & soon discovered the magic of music. As a child, Mark accompanied John Sebastian at the 1986 Genie Awards, sang the national anthem at a Blue Jays game, & went on to study piano, guitar, didgeridoo, percussion, mandolin, creative writing & voice.
Mark has performed at off Broadway theatres, roadhouses, stadiums, concert halls, street corners & cafés around the world.
No barrier separates the audience from the musicians at Mark’s shows. Everyone participates in his or her own way. Volunteers are given parts to play during select songs, some play w/ shakers, others paint & every show includes a free hug.
While Mark performs regularly as a solo act, you might catch him playing with a musical collective that includes musicians from across Canada, the U.S., Europe and the Middle East.
