"This Christmas Time" is the newest Christmas single released from Canadian recording artist and songwriter MARIKA. Previously, she had her first top 10 single on Canadian CHR top 40 with You Know I Will followed by another top 10 single RADIO which allowed for MARIKA to be nominated as Best New Urban artist at the Canadian Radio Music Awards. She is a six time Covenant Award Nominee, a Women of Excellence award winner, was nominated as one of the Globe and Mail's most transformational Canadians, and was awarded the Vancouver SAGE foundation's award for excellence in arts and culture where she performed alongside speaker - 5 time heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield. MARIKA as a songwriter has gone on to have some of her songs released internationally by established artists including a number 1 single and number 1 selling album in Korea, and Top 40 releases across North America, Asia and Europe. She has numerous film and television placements on shows like Americas Next Top Model, songs featured on MTV, NBC, and Global and her single ANGEL was featured on a Lifetime Movie Networks original movie. Marika's performances span the globe from a 45 city tour of New Zealand, sharing the stage with Country Superstar Terri Clark for the 2010 Olympic Games Torch Relay in Alberta, as well as singing her Christmas single at MACYs holiday Celebration in Seattle which saw about 30 000 people in the audience. She's shared the stage with Grammy award Winning artists Michael W Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman, Juno award winning artist Brian Doerksen and was the featured guest at the Miss Washington USA performances, Miss World Canada, 100 Huntley Street, The Miracle Channel, and as well performed on live television on networks like Global, CTV, NBC and Shaw. She had the privilege of singing the lead vocal on a 30 song musical project developed by Brian Doerksen and Boston Playwright Christopher Greco, for the musical project, Prodigal God. Unstoppable - the title track and the album was nominated for GMA Canada's Covenant awards for Pop song of the Year and Pop Album of the year and Won in the Pop album of the year category. The track Unstoppable as well was received as one of the Top 10 most buzzed songs in the running for CBC Music's new Hockey night in Canada theme song. Marika most recently released "This Christmas Time" produced with 604 records producer and friend Colin Janz, and went on to receive national airplay on over 70 stations across Canada.
