It is all too appropriate that the genesis of Lunch At Allen’s began over a friendly meal at Allen's Pub & Restaurant in Toronto. It serves not only as the inspiration behind their name, but the base of camaraderie that provides the familiar and easygoing spirit behind their music.

You would be hard pressed to find another Canadian ensemble with the collective depth of influence over the country’s musical landscape that Lunch At Allen’s has garnered. Individually, each of the band member’s is a true icon of Canadian music, lauded by critics and fans alike.

Marc Jordan and Ian Thomas, renown musicians and songwriters in their own right, have had their songs recorded by international stars ranging from Rod Stewart to Bette Midler, and from Diana Ross to Santana; Murray McLauchlan, who has brought his unique and influential folk styling to fans from coast to coast for over 40 years; and Cindy Church, the sweet-voiced songstress who’s musical versatility is demonstrable in her solo work and as a member of Quartette.

Together, as Lunch At Allen’s they play music with a collaborative creativity that only good friends could bring to life - a kinship and intuition that makes their records and live performances an intimate, joyous experience for their listeners.

By The Numbers…

-Together Lunch At Allen’s members Murray McLauchlan, Ian Thomas, Marc Jordan and Cindy Church have released an astonishing 91 albums across the span four decades.

-Collectively, the members of Lunch At Allen’s have been nominated for 39 JUNO Awards, and have won 12.

-With 10 JUNO Awards, Murray McLauchlan is tied for 7th place on the list of Canadian artists with the most JUNO Awards. He shares the spot with Charles Dutoit and Nelly Furtado.

Did You Know That...

Ian Thomas provides the music for the hit animated series Bob & Doug based on the classic SCTV characters of the same name.

Marc Jordan has written songs for over two dozen internationally renowned artists across a multitude of genres. Everyone from Diana Ross to Bonnie Raitt, from Tiffany to Incubus has recorded his music.

Cindy Church was once a member of Canadian country music legend Ian Tyson's band, the Chinook Arch Raiders. She also sang background vocals on three of Tyson's albums.
