biographical info
Based out of St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, Lions For Sheep consists of
Todd Andrews (bass), Devin Fortier (guitar/vocals), Erik Grice
(guitar/vocals), Peter Keith (drums), and Matt Kraus (keys). These five
experienced musicians formed in 2007 out of an enthusiasm for good
friends and great music. After the self released 2008 album, ‘The
Contest’, Lions For Sheep has been turning heads and gaining attention
in the Edmonton and Canadian college radio music scene and has shared
the stage with such acts as the Arkells, Library Voices, the Mohawk
Lodge, Daniel Wesley, Black Diamond Bay, and local hometown heroes Doug
Hoyer, Eamon McGrath and Michael Rault.
Blending full melodic sound, classic musical roots and youthful spirit,
Lions For Sheep exceeds all expectations. After a strong three-year
stride, Lions For Sheep is nearing completion of their sophomore album,
‘Nostalgia’; it is set to be released in June 2010. The sound
encompasses their many influences including the Guess Who, Neil Young
and The Band, as well as ‘canrock’ acts such as the Constantines, Sam
Roberts, and Joel Plaskett.
