Call it surreal, elegant, relaxing, twisted, maddening... Lex's music reflects an expansive portion of the spectrum of human possibilities. Emotions, perceptions, ideas, concepts, instincts and ideals all make their way into the mix.
Sonically speaking, Lex Plexus is an endless array of sources - the sound of a bee buzzing, rubber balls bouncing on cans of paint, trains, fences rattling, dense clouds of broken mandolin, vocoder, granular synthesis, fractally generated melodies... Plus, just enough of the standard run-of-the-mill stuff like malfunctioning synthesizers, drum machines, classical guitar, drums, bass, vocals, djembe, shakers, vocoder, whistling, rattling chairs, tons of obscure computer software... not to mention the occasional and crucial touches of synergy provided by creatively gifted volunteers - musicians, snorers, protesters, etc.
