The eighth studio album from Alberta's Leeroy Stagger, Truth Be Sold, is set for release June 4th on Danny Goldberg’s Gold Lake Records (The Cranberries, Anna Egge). Produced by Grammy Award winner Steve Berlin (Los Lobos), the album takes the listener on a journey throughStagger’s punk rock past and roots rock present.

Truth Be Sold includes brand new material and selections from Stagger’s songwriting vault that were hand picked by Berlin and re-recorded in Portland, Oregon’sMystery Machine Studios. Well out of his comfort zone and letting his punk flag fly, Stagger’s rollicking vocals, fuzzed out guitars and Berlin’s signature baritone sax give a nod to The Stooges and Queens Of The Stone Age on album tracks “Goodnight Berlin” and “Celebrity.”
Having shared the stage with The Pixes, Tegan and Sara, Ron Sexsmith, Joel Plaskett, and having his music featured on hit TV shows Grey’s Anatomy, Sons of Anarchy, Degrassi, and Heartland, Stagger is quickly becoming a veteran in the North American roots-rock scene.
