biographical info
Lynn Harrison is a compelling performer whose songs inspire hope and compassion, laughter and tears. Her latest CD 'Simplicity' (2008) is the latest in a series of personal-yet-universal recordings (following "Lynoleum", 2001; "Learning Curve", 2003 and "Broadview", 2005) that illuminate the beauty and meaning of everyday life. Melodic and meaningful, Lynn's songs have been honoured in numerous songwriting competitions (Ontario Council of Folk Festivals' 'Songs From the Heart'; Toronto Song Contest; John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Unisong and others), selected for compilation CDs alongside artists including Bruce Springsteen, Loreena McKennitt and Stan Rogers and featured on CBC Radio programs including “Fresh Air”, “Ontario Morning” and “Sounds Like Canada”. From October 2006 to August 2008, Lynn wrote a new song each week as songwriter- in-residence for the current events program 'Take5' on CIUT 89.5 fm in Toronto. "Lynn's music speaks to the essence of what life is all about," (Charles Adler, Global TV).
