biographical info
Luna Roja's music is a fusion of Bolivian cool and tropical, with strong blues, jazz and rock influences. The band's musical style is quite eclectic, with songs ranging from lazy romantic ballads to scathingly political Andean rock, to just-plain-silly upbeat tropical tunes that make you laugh, dance and feel good to be alive.
The band's founders, Bolivian artist Alejandro Machicao and French Canadian writer Paul Watson, assembled a group of Canadian and Bolivian musicians who share a common love of Latin grooves, meaningful lyrics and warped humour.
Check out The Irish Ravers biotechno track 'Pac Daniels' on NMC, which features samples from the Luna Roja release.
