Dear Friend / Bonjour Ami/e,
We have a new band called “Lucille” and we’re from Montreal, Quebec.
Sometimes we sing in English.
Other times in French.
Lucille is officially two people - Krista Muir and Shane Watt - although we
like to bring along a small selection of like-minded musicians to bang on
drums and rock the guitar when we play live.
Krista Muir is better known to some as Lederhosen Lucil. She has toured North America, Europe, Australia and
New Zealand with friends DJ Kid Koala, The Aquabats and many others. Over the past few years she has
released “Hosemusik,” “Tales From The Pantry,” and “Apricota Single” on her own label hypo records. Shane Watt
has toured North America with bands Cooper Thomspon and Lederhosen Lucil.
In the fall of 2005 Krista heard Shane’s secret songs for the first time and pulled some of her hidden melodies out
of the closet. Lucille was born! Over tea and cakes they devised a secret handshake and made plans to record a
5-song EP on their own. Most likely, that CD is sitting on your desk right now.
After the launch of the EP in March 2006, we played select Ontario and Quebec dates to celebrate. Right now
we are looking for a home for our upcoming full-length album as well as playing festivals and concerts in the
Summer and Fall of 2006.
