biographical info

King Crow and the Ladies From Hell is an untethered dance party where folk music meets gypsy punk and loud Irish drinking songs. A nine-headed performing behemoth, King Crow and the Ladies From Hell hails from beneath the moss of a small city located deep in the rainforest of northwestern British Columbia called Terrace.

The eclectic collective of singer-songwriters produces a collision of genres that results in a feverish call to dance that has yet to go unheeded. From sweaty community centres, to dingey bars, the tops of ski hills and folk music festivals to large outdoor concerts - King Crow and the Ladies From Hell have filled dance floors of all descriptions in their quest for world domination (also known as  plunderin’ and scallywaggin‘).

Formed in 2011, King Crow and the Ladies From Hell has played a wide range of main stage performances including Terrace’s Concerts in the Park (2011 and 2012), the Kispiox Folk Music Festival (2012), Riverside Festival (2011) and the Terrace and District Arts Council Music in the Park (2012). They were headliners at the 2012 Smithers Midsummer Music Festival and played the mainstage at Prince George’s annual week-long music extravaganza called the Coldsnap Festival in January of 2013.

The band released its first demo CD Half Sack in January 2013 and followed up with a short winter tour through northern BC and Alberta including stops in Prince George, Calgary, Edmonton and Jasper.

King Crow and the Ladies From Hell is the consummate party band - live shows are where this band thrives.

Don't believe us, ask Scott Taylor, Co-chair of the Smithers Midsummer Music Festival performers committee.

"They gave a fun and energetic performance that had the crowd on it's feet and eating from their hands...they'd be a highlight of any festival," says Scott.
