the classical pianist who turned to the dark side and became a rave DJ....her parents now regret making her take piano lessons....
Precision Female (aka Keyboard Mixtress) formerly Pocahotass, started piano lessons at the age of 4, and hated them! She completed an ARCT with the Royal Conservatory of Music in 2000 and has been teaching piano/keyboard ever since. In 2004 she did the most musically rebellious thing possible for a highly trained classical pianist....she went to the dark side...underground rave music. She made some of her own...100% original, live mixed, unclassifiable beats...electro, breaks, techno, melodic progessive house, tribal....frequently with some latin/blues/jazz piano licks mixed in there too.
In recent years Precision Female has played the local Nelson scene...with other musicians of the dark side...Audio Architect, PA Suplex, Meow mix, Pheonix Olivia, Nuclear Weasel, Andrew Fi and Tetrix, Evil Monkey, Jorma....also 2 years at the international Shambhala Music Festival.
Using 2 Technics keyboards instead of turnables, Precision Female delivers a show like no other...body armour on the dance floor is recommended.
