biographical info

Kardinal Offishall’s moniker of Celebrity Face is very fitting.  His video for his smash hit Dangerous is one of the all time most viewed hip hop YouTube videos in Canada at over 45 million views and counting.  Kardinal is world renown for his high-energy stage performances.  He has criss crossed the globe performing in festivals, stadiums, concert halls and various clubs.  One of his more memorable performances was for MTV Spain in Malaga, Spain on the beach for an estimated crowd of 250,000 people.

He was a judge on the highly rated Much Music VJ Search show.  He is a 4 time Juno award winner, including Single and Rap Recording of the Year for 2009.  He has won 4 Much Music Video Awards and has had show stopping MMVA performances including his 2008 performance with Akon. He also performed as part of the Prince’s Trust Fashion/Rock show that was broadcast to over 400 million viewers in over 70 countries worldwide.

Kardinal was awarded the privilege of being a torchbearer for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.  He was nominated by Coca Cola Canada after he recorded his part for the Coca Cola Torch Run anthem Open Happiness.

Kardinal will release his new album entitled Mr. International in early 2011.  The title is fitting with the amount of global shows he does.  Along with another hit he penned with Akon (Body Bounce), Mr. International features a duet he recorded with Grammy-winning U.K. singer Estelle (Hey Love).   He is a staple on the airwaves across North America.

Kardinal has positioned himself as an iconic figure on the Canadian music landscape.
