biographical info
In I997 singer/songwriters Jamie Musselwhite and Susan B. Anderson took to the stage with their daughters Hannah (age 7) and Eliza (age 4). It was a family decision based on the wee girls’ desire to “get up on stage and sing” with their mom and dad. Armed with fresh new tunes about their family life together and an open mind about what kind of performance could be expected of children so young, they formed Kinfolk! and started what has become an eight-year musical odyssey.
Needless to say, the first year was all about learning. Their live performances were built around the children in the group being able to leave the stage whenever they felt like re-joining the audience. With that kind of flexibility and their love of singing, it wasn’t long before the girls were “full time” performers and were on equal footing as valued members of this unique collective.
By the end of 1998 the decision was made to record an album and the result was their first CD, Kinfolk! "I'm Full". In the coming years, the family evolved in terms of their maturity as a vocal group and by 2003, four-part harmony was commonplace and the children were handling many of the lead vocals.
Today, “I'm Full” has been digitally re-mixed. Although recorded very early in their life as a musical group, the appeal of this CD (after all these years) continues to be the universal themes of its songs and the endearing voices of Hannah and Eliza featured on several of the tracks.
