biographical info

The four Canadian bastards of Junktion have a flat-out rock approach that will make Jonas Brothers fans throw out their purity rings. The smooth vocals of Reilly Hemer and the punchy guitars served up by Andreas Gilbert are matched by the rhythm section of bassist Chris Lindsay and drummer Lane Pither to create a lethal combination that leaves concert goers wondering if they just lost their virginity.

Junktion's first sign of success came with the initial online release of their song "Stop, She Said" on the band's official MySpace page. Within eight hours, the song received over 1500 plays. Followed by the release of "I Want You", which hit over 2000 plays in a day. These kind of numbers nationally touring bands don't even see when they release new songs. The song consistently received over 200 plays a day for three weeks after the release day. The success of Stop, She Said caught the attention of Canadian pop culture publication The Magazine, and they immediately wanted to work with such a promising young band. The Magazine has partnered with Junktion to re-release Stop, She Said on a national level in February 2010. With a monthly circulation of 80,000, Junktion is gearing up for their first major release.

Instead of putting on eyeliner and whining about how awful the world is, Junktion writes killer songs that are bound to get stuck in your head. With a live show more explosive than a Michael Bay movie, Junktion is ready to take on the world.
