In Jon Brooks’ words: “The highest aim of song is to invoke empathy - to offer that rare sight of ourselves in others. For this reason, the folk singer is simply trying to politicize love – that is to say: I believe today’s songwriter should be a lobbyist for mercy, forgiveness, and compassion to be our principle representatives in government office.” Jon has just released his new and fourth cd, DELICATE CAGES, a collection of songs investigating the complicit relationships between love and fear; and freedom and imprisonment.
