Singer songwriter Jodi Doidge has been honing her craft since the age of 16. While growing up in Kamloops, BC, she used her music to express herself. When she was 19 and living in Alberta, Jodi began to really share her natural talent amongst friends. They encouraged her to play and sing everywhere she could. Open mic nights and private concerts were the training ground for future success.
Jodi has recorded her EP, Little Love Songs, with Winston Hauschild (Hannah Georgas, Wanting Qu), who understood her natural approach to music. The EP captures not only the sensitivity and insightfulness of the songs, but also the sly and sexy playfulness which she reveals in a live performance.
You can see her playing at local venues such as The Media Club, The Railway Club and The Duncan Garage Showroom. She also lends her support by playing events for Unite with Art, the Canadian Blood Donor Association, and the Kidney Walk for Life.
Sarah Harmer and Jenn Grant are Jodi's biggest musical influences. She connected with Jenn Grant, who ended up painting the cover art for Little Love Songs. Jodi would like to record a full length album with Grant's husband/producer Daniel Ledwell (In-flight Safety, Kathleen Edwards).
