biographical info

Jerry Jerry and the Sons of Rhythm Orchestra is a Canadian alternative rock band whose style has mixed surf music, gospel music, rockabilly and punk.

Jerry Jerry and the Sons of Rhythm Orchestra formed in 1982 by lead singer Gerry Woods and released their first album Road Gore in 1985 and second album in 1987, Battle Hymn of the Apartment, which was the most commercially successful of their four albums. In 1986 the band moved to Montreal, where they had the height of their career for the next few years playing large clubs all around the Montreal and Toronto regions. In 1999 Gerry moved back to Edmonton where he got a new line up for the band, Where to this day he still plays every once in a while. Gerry is currently planning a 25th anniversary show with the original line up.
