biographical info
Jasper Sloan Yip is a multi-genre singer/songwriter with a dynamic and versatile band behind him. Three days after releasing his solo debut "White Elephant" under the moniker "the Blenheim Street Project", Jasper left for a 10 month backpacking trip that spanned 14 countries and 3 continents. All the while, Jasper used these wandering days to stockpile lyrics and melodies and upon his return to Vancouver in May of 2008, he hit the ground running, playing as often as he could. Jasper soon hooked up with multi-instrumentalist Mark Brichon, introducing bass, banjo, and lap steel to his live shows and recordings. With the addition of Graham Serl on drums in August of 2009, his band was formed. They spent 3 weeks in Vertical Studios with Producer Tom Dobrzanski (Said The Whale, Hey Ocean!, We Are The City) which produced their upcoming release "Every Day and All at Once". The band is currently making the rounds in Vancouver while the album is in post production, and plans for a cross-Canada tour are in the works for 2010.
