biographical info
jump rope for heart is a lo-fi pop project of onemanband proportions. the tunesmith behind the name is ryan h. wugalter. he is not from another planet. he is just a guy who likes records and wants to make a record that will appeal to people who also like records. he is both frustratingly and endearingly aware of his limited technical skill as a musician but is confident in his potential to craft simple yet sophisticated pop songs. simplicity is key. recorded to 4track in the winter warmth of his prince george basement suite in january 2004, these songs represent the bulk of his recorded output. the fidelity of the recordings is as much a result of his equipment as it is his ability to use it. blueprints for a jump rope for heart live band are in the works. until then, he continues to write new songs and perform to small audiences with big ears.
