artist Julie Henderson

Since the age of seven, Julie has studied piano, alto and baritone saxophone and guitar. She is a Vocal Performance Major graduate at the Berklee College of Music Program offered at Selkirk College in Nelson, BC. She has been performing from east to west throughout Canada ever since. Attracting audiences of all ages is an illustration of her ability to target all styles with lyrics relating to almost each individual. In 2004, Julie added music festivals, in British Columbia, to her tour roster. Julie is a natural performer who plays for the people. She catches the eyes of everyone and is ultimately comfortable on stage and in front of the camera. Last October, Julie caught the attention of MTV, while performing and sat down with them for an interview on Canadian talent. She has been written up in several newspapers in and around Vancouver and Montreal. Her amazing performance at The Montreal Jazz Festival, in the summer of 2003, was just one of the reasons she has been catching everyone’s attention. Currently Julie is residing and performing in Vancouver, BC and making her mark in the music scene. You can catch her performing weekly or see her in action hosting her open mic/ variety show. There she has created a night for artists to perform in a fun and professional environment. Julie’s attitude toward her music career is to work hard, play herd, keep positive and take matters into her own hands!
