biographical info
Emerging Canadian R&B star JRDN grew up in Halifax and started working in music with Halifax producer Trobiz, and multi-Juno Award-nominated artist/producer Classified (Luke Boyd). Since then he’s been working with Toronto’s Grammy Award-nominated Kuya Productions, who produced IAMJRDN. The first single from the album, “U Can Have It All,” hit Gold status in Canada and the second single, “Like Magic,” went to #1 on the Much and MuchMore Music video charts. With four radio singles to date, the album has also hit Billboard Canada’s Hot 100 peak position, received the 2011 Dance/Urban/Rythmic Award and was nominated for the 2012 Fan choice Awards for the Canadian Radio Music Awards.
As Jordan tells it, “IAMJRDN is really a representation of just that: who I am, where I come from and all the things that have inspired me on the journey to who I am today.’’ IAMJRDN has been nominated for two 2012 Juno Awards in the R&B/Soul and New Artist Categories.
