With the success of their previous releases and after two hard working years, the duo Jirku-Judge is ready to unleash a 12inch and a full-length CD on the German Onitor Label.
The music on “Private Eyes“ (onitor CD 45) occupy the space between dance-floor and listening music. There is a definite balance between the two worlds, yet at times diving deep in to one or the other. In their musical experiments, intricate rhythms are woven together in to a unique style that is equally comfortable in exploring playful ambience as it is making excursions into swinging percussive funk. The 12 inch “Watching You” (onitor 44 ep) as well as the remix 12” “Watching Me” (scheduled late 2005) aim toward the dance floor and show another aspect of their work. Robin Judge and Tomas Jirku didn't want to rush the concepts within each track, they wanted to spend some time getting inside the sounds, rhythms and textures.
In a way this is also typical for all of their works, these folks don´t rush any of their productions, they let the productions guide them through different moods. And that’s the mystic answer to the question “Why the tracks hold so much diversity”. They removed the notions of "time" and "concept" and just let what was in them come out when it wanted to.
