biographical info

Jimmie Inch is a singer/songwriter who has been playing professionally for the past 11 years. His musical career began in his hometown of Glace Bay on Cape Breton Island. He was a member of the popular East Coast bands Highland Heights and Aspen Grove with whom he recorded two albums. He has toured across Canada and has played venues that range from campfires to bars, and community halls to 15,000 seat arenas. He has played at countless schools and universities across Canada and at folk festivals such as Folk on The Rocks in Yellowknife, NWT and the Stan Rogers Folk Festival in Canso, Nova Scotia. After years on the road, Jimmie moved to Iqaluit, Nunavut where he owns and operates Brickyard Music, an independent recording studio/record label. In December 2002, Jimmie released his debut solo album “Where I Want To Be” which features 11 tracks of original music. Jimmie has been selected as a semi-finalist in CBC's "Great Canadian Music Dream" contest which airs Feb 19th, 2003.
