Musically, Jason Michas' career spans the whole enchilada. Whether fronting Vancouver's funk sensation Rumplesteelskin, burning up the stage in the progressive rock group Omnibol or singing lead tenor for a performance of Handel's Messiah by the Vancouver Philharmonic he has done his best to be musically ubiquitous and diverse.
More recently, Michas finished three years of classical voice study
and composition. Since then he has teamed up with west coast uber musician Jesse Zubot of Zubot & Dawson and producer talent Jeff Holl.
The result is a beautiful debut solo recording called ODE TO A DEAD BIRD, a compilation of pop songs influenced by Michas' varied musical background. The album features Michas' compelling and chameleon like voice, sophisticated lyrics and some of Vancouver's best musicians.
