History:

Infinite Potential better known as IP has made quite a name for himself in Alberta’s hip-hop scene. As a part of two legendary hip-hop crews from Calgary (Endangered Species and NWNB) IP helped pioneer a scene that is now seeing the likes of Dragon Fli Empire and Deezuz chart and tour nationally.

Introduced to hip-hop in the early 90’s by a classmate who moved from Jamaica to Canada, IP fell in love with the culture of breakdancers, beatboxers, turntablists, emcees and graf writers. Starting off with intricate freestyles, IP later grew as an artist honing his skills in MC battles, entertaining crowds at house parties and performing and recording with recognized Canadian hip-hop MCs like Prevail, Moka Only, and Emotionz.

IP is also a great sample based producer who prides himself on creating heavy soundscapes that make your head nod. With over 10 years experience IP gurantees something dope behind the boards for his own songs or other artists he works with. He currently uses an ASR-10 and owes a lot of his inspiration to other great producers like: DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Diamond D, The Alchemist, J-Dilla, Nottz, Moka Only, Madlib & The Beatnuts.

IP has toured coast to coast in Canada as both a headliner with his group’s Everybody Soul & NWNB and as an opener for such hip-hop greats like Slum Village, Souls of Mischief, and Swollen Members. In addition to this IP has been featured on Vibe 98.5, charted on various Canadian college stations and has showcased at nationally recognized music showcases like New Music West (Vancouver), Under Pressure (Montreal) and Vans Warped Tour (Calgary).
