biographical info

The denim-clad, leather-bad rawk n' roll machine collectively known as HARDLINER steamrolled its way into the sleepy bars and clubs of St. John's, Newfoundland in December 1999. Poised to shake things up with their combination of rebel rock attitude, sound and politically-charged lyrics, Hardliner quickly grabbed the attention and support of live music fans in the local RN'R scene who'd been craving a quality, no-frills, punk rock 'n' roll aural assault. Hardliner released a six-song CD E.P., entitled 'Generation Why?' in 2001 and enlisted a second guitarist later that year. The band travelled to Nova Scotia to play some gigs & support the new album and had interviews & live footage aired on Canada's CBC Radio, Much Music 'Going Coastal,' etc. In 2003 there was another change in personnel, and the show carried on. Hardliner returned to the stage in 2004 for a number of shows before calling it a day. In August 2009, the band started jamming again with the aim of reuniting for a show later in the year. Announcements will be made when the band is poised to re-emerge and shake your foundations once more. Rock n' roll will never die!! Cocked & Loaded - HARDLINER
