GGT's eclectic blend of guitar, bass and synth interjects playful drum loops, samples and melodic vocals which sometimes parallel and sometimes surpass their influences, among them The Faint or By A Thread to Radio Berlin, MJ and Prince. The sharp melodies of Deluxe Deluxe match its percussive instumentals, sparkly and frenetic. The track Kill City Kids' spooky electronic babblings build up into a delicate groove remininiscent of Soft Cell. The Spy and the Machete interjects punctuated basslines and jagged gits with casually heated lyrics, and tempo changes, from driven to diminishing, treading precariously on soft rock jams, but evading the chasm of cheese that made us leave 80's rock behind in the first place.
