biographical info
A rhythmically-driven acoustic singer/songwriter chick crashes into a laptop-wielding synth boy….witness the birth of tic-top.
Girl Goes Electric is an electroacoustic fusion of
Susan Dixon’s compelling original songs and artful handling of a guitar
with Adam Percy’s passion for programming and mad keyboard genius.
Their music is a revisiting of trip-hop, dub, and electronica for the
new millennium that fuses the organic and the synthetic with quirky,
honest lyrics and sexy, danceable beats.
Based in Vancouver, Adam and Susan have been working together since
February 2008. Originally conceived as a writing project, the duo
quickly discovered they had something unique to offer in both recording
and live performance, and hit the stage with their first Girl Goes
Electric show that spring. Since then they have been rocking audiences
across Vancouver and beyond, and hit the road for their first Eastern
Canadian tour in July 2009.
Girl Goes Electric released their eponymous debut EP in December 2008,
and went back into the studio less than six months later to record
their first full-length album, set for release in September 2009.
