Jay Gordon spent the mid - to late - nineties involved in the underground North American hardcore - indie scene as singer / songwriter for emo group Sprucehill. Pop - punk group The Wayouts was to be Gordon´s last effort with an established band before joining singer / songwriter Melissa McClelland as her touring and recording bass player. In 2002 under the name SYNTHcere, Gordon released the lo-fi synthpop e.p. “The Boy From Heathrow?and performed shows in the Toronto area, including at art galleries and popular bars. Greenland Sharks is Gordon’s latest project as a solo artist, combining elements of indie rock and electronica in a truly both listenable and danceable fashion.
