biographical info

Formed in late 1998 by Mike Onufreychuk and Blaine Martinson, the project started as a basement recording experiment. Soon the two decided to put together a live group, and recruited Ian Strachan on drums. After playing together under the name Slowjam for several years the band members went their separate ways in 2002. A year passed, and after working in other projects and bands, the three members came together to reunite under a new name and band structure. With a fresh focus and musical direction, the band began writing and took to the stage in April 2004 for the first time in Winnipeg as George & The Class of '84. The band has since played extensively in local Winnipeg venues and has toured to other municipalities in Southern Manitoba. In September 2005, the band unleashed its new album "Weapons of Mass Distraction".
