biographical info
Fungkus had a gig before they had a name, and were only supposed to play one show...but after 6 years and over 600 in the 5 years they finally decided to move on to other pursuits.
Mostly touring the resort towns of western Canada, they rocked many a bar, club, festival and house party along the way. Touring in a beat-up Dodge Van named "Black Betty", they brought a high-energy blend of ska, funk, reggae, hip hop and whatever else they could try and pull off (Covers included Iron Maiden and Herbie Hancock) to any venue and crowd they encountered.
Between 1994-2000, Fungkus were consistently one of BC's most danceable and entertaining live acts and performed for thousands of people across Western Canada.
