Rich holds a Masters degree in music from the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Lee Bartel and composer R. Murray Schafer.
In 2006, Friendly Rich developed an extreme vaudeville show called The Friendly Rich Show featuring The Lollipop People, puppetry, cartoons, crank calls and much more...Since then, the show has traveled to New York, Montreal, Vienna, Berlin, Frankfurt, Leipzig, and Toronto. In early 2008, Friendly's music was been released in Europe by Hazelwood Records, and the Lollipop People have successfully toured Germany and Austria twice.
Friendly's newest album, THE SACRED PRUNE of REMEMBRANCE was released in North America in July 2010 by The Pumpkin Pie Corporation. They will tour Europe in support of the new CD in October 2010.
The Lollipop People have performed alongside such artists as Of Montreal (2004), Andy Kim (2005), The Tiger Lillies (2005), Trevor Dunn (2007), the Dresden Dolls (2006, 2008) and The Great Bertholinis (2009).
Things are busy with Friendly Rich and The Pumpkin Pie Corporation, but as Friendly says, "one can either produce, or become produce".
