Freak Motif is an eclectic group based out of Calgary, consisting of musicians from a variety of backgrounds. Featuring up to 10 or more members, Freak Motif's live shows take on a unique, improvised approach, fusing afro-beat, funk, hip-hop, and world music to create their own hypnotic groove. With the audience influencing the energy and direction for the band's musical movements, each show becomes a uniquely freaky experience.
